  1. What is the total amount of West Virginia's state budget?
    For FY 2015 (fiscal year from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015), the total appropriated state budget is $12.2 billion, of which $4.2 billion is from General Revenue Funds:

    General Funds   $  4.241 billion*  
    Federal Funds   $  4.549 billion
    Other Funds     $  3.430 billion**

    Total               $ 12.220 billion

    As of July 1, 2014
    *Does not include $390.0 million of reappropriated funds.
    **Includes State Road, Regular Lottery, Excess Lottery, and Appropriated Special Revenue funds.

  2. How much money is in the State's Rainy Day Fund?
    Once a month we update the balance of the West Virginia Rainy Day Fund.  The latest update can be found at the "Other Reports" Web page.

  3. Where is West Virginia's annual financial report
    The State's annual financial report (known as the CAFR or the Combined Annual Financial Report) is prepared for each fiscal year by the Finance Division of the Department of Administration.  The CAFRs are available on-line.
